Christmas Ornament-Making Party

Children in the community came out to make Christmas ornaments, eat cookies and pose with a young Santa (without a beard) and his elves. Our wonderful volunteer Ruby Fong used flour and salt to bake cookie-like ornaments for the kids to paint on, decorate with pompoms and glitter. Five students from Balboa High School helped and moved the assembly line along. The scent of cinnamon and pine filled the air, along with the sound of children's laughter.
