Art, Heritage and CommUNITY. traces Kevin Lu’s journey as an artist through his activism in the community. While creating this installation, Kevin invited friends and neighbors, and anyone who visited or walked past Clarion to come in and contribute a little of their hearts and minds. The ever-expanding mural did not stop after the opening reception. Children of Clarion’s theater class were delighted when invited to draw on the walls! Kevin embraced this collective art with his own lines and shapes, adding colorful posters of people in the community and words for thoughts.
