Sally Love Saunders wrote her first poem about the Northern Lights when she was in kindergarten. Now, 9,000 poems later, she has dedicated her life to encouraging people of all ages and cultural backgrounds to get in touch with their own poet inside.

This passion has taken her to do poetry writing in such places as migrant farm laborers in Upstate New York and Florida. Another example is The State Department sent her all over Appalachia to teach teachers how to teach poetry writing.

She now hosts a monthly poetry conference call of reading her own poetry. Our host, Greg Pond was for many years, one of her beloved members of her poetry writing workshops in San Francisco. Greg has put together a copy of a collection of her poems in a book called “Sally’s Casserole.” It…
