About the Event
Immerse yourself in a world of ancient melodies, hidden music secrets, and the enchanting legacy of instruments that shaped Classical Greece. Listen to the Lyre of Apollo, an instrument silenced for over two thousand years, played by the virtuoso Theodoros Koumartzis. Along with Marios Podaras on the ancient pandura and the violin, they will perform the oldest surviving Greek melody (Seikilo's Epitaph) along with other ancient and contemporary compositions, including songs by the great Manos Hadjidakis and selections from Pausis' debut album which is played regularly on Tangents Radio.
Featuring special guest: Gary Haggerty and vocalist Cordelia Hanford Foster.
